@Ecrusized: The only differences I see between your and User:Freedoxm's latest versions are the precise placement of two city labels (equally clear either way) and one minuscule difference affecting something in the neighborhood of perhaps a few square kilometers in the Druze region in the south. Am I missing something? If not, that seems so close to consensus on a map at this scale as not to be worth bothering with. - Jmabel ! talk 23:57, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

User:SikkimFrontier has been indef-blocked on the English Wikipedia as a compromised account, after admitting in this comment that the account is being used by "numerous publication experts". See also the block discussion at w:User talk:SikkimFrontier#Blocked.

Therefore, it is impossible to discern the provenance of File:Dr.DilipvPandey.jpg, uploaded by SikkimFrontier and claimed to be "own work". It's impossible even for a VRT agent to verify. Please unblock "File:US 51 Star possible Flag.svg"

I think it's unfair for a little-used file like file:US 51 Star possible Flag.svg to have full protection indefinitely. Before it was fully protected, I had made a few edits, someone made it a redirect, and another user not only reverted my edits, he fully protected the page indefinitely.  Comment Seems like the file is protected exactly to prevent you to edit it. Your reverted edits were not good. It seems you're denying my request. The only difference between the file I listed above and this file is that the former has smaller stars, and the latter has bigger stars. They have the same arrangement. I would understand if currently used national flags have some level of protection, but the file I listed above? It's not really used much. Per @Taivo, protection level changed. @Candidyeoman55: It doesn't matter whether the file is frequently used or not; it's COM:INUSE and is different from the other flag. You tried to delete it twice, first rejected by me, later accepted by @Túrelio: , and because the flag is not identical, I restored the file. Please leave it up to the language versions themselves to decide which version they want to use in their articles. Do you need to change anything else in the description now? the image is copyrighted by calvin j hamilton ( see https://solarviews.com/cap/jup/callist2.htm ) yet people have been defending it and they protected it. yes, the images used are from nasa, but the processing (like reddening, removing processing artifacts like dots, stitching the images together) are his work.
