{"id":3328,"date":"2021-07-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pl-asapbio.local\/announcing-the-preprint-reviewer-recruitment-network\/"},"modified":"2025-03-28T21:36:31","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T21:36:31","slug":"announcing-the-preprint-reviewer-recruitment-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asapbio.org\/announcing-the-preprint-reviewer-recruitment-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing the Preprint Reviewer Recruitment Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, we\u2019re excited to launch the <a href=\"https:\/\/asapbio.org\/preprint-reviewer-recruitment-network\">Preprint Reviewer Recruitment Network<\/a>, a pilot to share researchers\u2019 preprint reviewing experience with journals looking for reviewers or editorial board members.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Public preprint feedback has the potential to not only help authors and readers, but also to identify potential reviewers and editorial board members for journals. Unfortunately, finding preprint reviews authored by a particular individual and linking them to other useful information (such as disciplinary keywords) remains challenging. The Preprint Reviewer Recruitment Network addresses these issues by enabling willing researchers to share preprint feedback as work samples for review by participating journals.<\/p>\n<p>We expect that the network will:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide journals and publishers with access to pools of potential reviewers or editorial board members<\/li>\n<li>Help researchers, especially ECRs, break into reviewing or editing roles<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the efforts of researchers who participate in public reviewing and commenting on preprints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To participate, researchers must fill out a form that will be shared with partner journals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Preprint Reviewer Recruitment Network will run as a 6-month long pilot from 2021-07-21 to 2022-01-21.
