In this capacity, Naomi will manage and grow the community of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/asapbio.org\/asapbio-ambassadors\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ASAPbio ambassadors<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, create resources&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to enable advocacy for (and education about) preprints, and drive discussions on best practices. The position is supported by ASAPbio\u2019s newly-formed <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/asapbio.org\/member-advisory-group\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Member Advisory Group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After her PhD in Clinical Biochemistry in Cambridge University, Naomi joined <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/elifesciences.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eLife<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where she most recently served as Innovation Officer. In that capacity, she built a community around technological innovation for open science, supported the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/elifesciences.org\/labs\/7dbeb390\/reproducible-document-stack-supporting-the-next-generation-research-article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eLife Reproducible Document Stack<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, managed <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/elifesciences.org\/labs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eLife Labs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and convened an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/elifesciences.org\/labs\/bdd4c9aa\/elife-innovation-sprint-2018-project-roundup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innovation Sprint<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for 50 participants that advanced a dozen projects. She\u2019s also managed the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/elifesciences.org\/about\/people\/early-career\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Early-career advisory group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, coordinated the annual assembly of over 100 eLife editors, and produced and edited numerous webinars and blog posts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along with her passion for advancing open science, Naomi brings a wealth of experience in community organizing, event production, and project management to ASAPbio.
