As part of the <\/span>followup<\/span><\/a> to last month\u2019s productive <\/span>meeting<\/span><\/a>, ASAPbio organizers and attendees have been working to spread discussions about preprints to the broader community. Recent articles at <\/span>Wired<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>NYTimes<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>The Economist<\/span><\/a> have certainly moved the needle in this regard!<\/span><\/p>\n

Please help keep the conversation going by taking one or more of the following actions:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Take the survey <\/b>on preprint preferences<\/span> here<\/span><\/a>. We\u2019re trying to understand what attributes of preprint servers are most desired by the community \u2013 and whether one or several would be most beneficial. You responses will remain confidential. <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Post a submission selfie<\/b> \u2013 take a photo of yourself and your coauthors celebrating a preprint submission and <\/span>post it here<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Become an ASAPbio Ambassador<\/b> \u2013 <\/span>Sign up<\/span><\/a> to act as a representative for ASAPbio efforts at your institution. We\u2019ll get in touch to provide materials to make organizing local \u201ctown hall\u201d events easier. We are preparing this material now and it should be available within one month at the <\/span>preprint info center<\/span><\/a> on <\/span>ASAPbio.org<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Help us keep track of progress<\/b> by leaving a comment with any news (<\/span>a change in journal policies, a local event \u2013 even in the early stages of organization \u2013 a new article, etc,) <\/span> <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
