ASAPbio and Creative Commons are pleased to announce the launch of the Preprint Policy Framework for research funders and research performing organizations. The framework consists of six components that align funder and organizational policies to promote open, reusable, timely, and rigorous research communication.

As stewards of the funds they award, life science research funders are eager to maximize the value of their grants. One low-cost way to do so is to recommend – or better yet require – grantees to publish the outputs of their research (including preprints) using Creative Commons attribution, or CC-BY, licenses.

The ASAPbio community is undergoing a refresh for 2025. There will be clearer routes to getting involved in ASAPbio activities and a greater emphasis on our amazing community.
