This preprint event toolkit provides a 10-step guide for how to conceptualize, organize and run a preprint-related event, either in person or online. The toolkit includes an event preparation document template, email templates to approach possible collaborators and speakers, tips on how get buy in and promote the event, and information on how ASAPbio can support the event. The toolkit is the result of a collaboration by a group of ASAPbio Fellows.

Given the growth of preprint servers and alternative platforms, it is increasingly important to describe their disciplinary scope and compare and contrast policies including governance, licensing, archiving strategies and the nature of any screening checks.
These practices are important to both researchers and policymakers. Here we present a list of preprint servers with searchable information about their policies and practices. This list was originally collected for a study (see https://doi.org/10.1101/2020.04.27.063578) but many records have been subsequently updated. See the last item in the expanded record for each server to find the date of the most recent update.
